ZORAN JEDREJCIC, DESIGNER OF THE MULTIFUNCITIONAL “STRING”, SINTESI COLLECTION, PARTECIPATES AND WINS THE SECOND PLACE OF THE AWARD “SHARE A NEW VISION: REDESIGN THE BANK BRANCH OF THE FUTURE”

The contest, Share a New Vision, has been organized by Panini SpA, and is part of the calendar of Torino 2008 – World Design Capital. Designers and architects from all over the world are asked to rethink, in terms of functionality, ergonomic and design, the bank branch and its spaces dedicated to the customers.

The architect Zoran Jedrejcic, who designed for Sintesi the multifunctional “String”, together with the group partners, has won the second prize.

BBB at the World Centre Las Vegas for the prestigious Italian Furniture Exhibit

World Market Center Las Vegas and Fiera Milano will collaborate for the first time ever this summer to showcase a one-of-a-kind Italian Furniture exhibit at the 2008 July Summer Market.

The July Las Vegas Market , scheduled fro July 28 through Aug. 1, will salute Italian design with an 8,000-square-foot museum-quality exhibit. Conceived, organized and curated with the support of Fiera Milano, City of Meda, Regione Lombardia and Project Monza-Brianza, Design Italiano – Il Mobile di Design a Meda will showcase nearly 100 pieces from 13 top Italian designer and manufacturers.

The company BBBemmebonacina has been chosen to showcase the chair Tric in polycarbonate, the armchairs Carrera, Spin and Gomma, and the bookcases Eta and Jeep.

GRUPPO SINTESI products furnish the Club House of Fiera Milano for a fresh summer cocktail

For the closing of the fair year, last Wednesday July 9^th Fiera Milano organized a summer cocktail with the consular corps and the organizers. The well-lit Club House which hosted the event was furnished with Gruppo Sintesi products, following a project by our art director Marta Giardini.

The style of furnishing required was that of a lounge, with a bar and islands of sofas, armchairs and tables. Nothing was better suited than the nice Sintesi chairs, BBB elegant padded elements and tables and Montina and Cabas comfortable armchairs.

The large spaces of the Club House, partitioned into rooms, made it possible to create environments with different colours and features.

What a great result!

The new Montina chair called KADREGA, designed by Huub Ubbens, just 3 month after having been launched has already been chosen for the furnishings of the LV58 art gallery of Den Haag (the Netherlands), from August 6^th to 31^st. The exhibition belongs to the “Den Haag Sculptur’08” project, which, this year, is inspired to the subject of freedom.

Kadrega chair has a curt and geometrical design and its parts are assembled only by using wooden pin joints.

It is available with the following finish: natural wood, white lacquer and slate black.

Sintesi furnishes Citibank branch in Ekeren (Antwerp)

In its new branch in Ekeren Citibank wanted to use modern furnishing which was at the same time comfortable and playful. “Elfo” and the new “Bubble” chairs, designed by Marcello Ziliani, and the funny “Pankotto”, designed by Bruno Rainaldi, express this concept and are particularly suitable for contract use, as certified also by CATAS tests.

Venezia chair selected for the XXI Edition of the Compasso d’Oro Prize

On Thursday 26^th June the prizegiving ceremony of the 21^st Edition of the Compasso d’Oro took place in the beautiful Reggia della Venaria Reale (Turin).

Venezia chair, design Paolo Favaretto, gained the recommendation of the Compasso d’Oro.

Interview to Arik Levy for “Tendenze Casa” programme on channel Leonardo

During the next days the channel Leonardo will broadcast an interview to Arik Levy, the famous designer who designed for BBB the “Free3” sofas, the “Geological Landscape” bookcase and the “Pargod” separè.
The interview was hold in the stand of BBB of the last Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
